Ray Bradbury was born born August 22, 1920 in Waukegan Illinois and is one of the most famous and pioneering fiction writers in the US. Being the son of a Swedish immigrants. His writing genes derive from his grandparents who published newspapers. He is still alive today, although confined on a wheelchair, and still active. His noteworthy books include: "The Martian Chronicles", "Fahrenheit 451", "The Illustrated Man" and "Something wicked this way comes".

As a kid he used to read and write, and from what he stated in his autobiographical note, "Mr. Electrico told me to "Live Forever!"" he decided to do so, by living forever in the world of science fiction as a undying writer. He spent countless hours in a library where he read and wrote, and had a part time job as a newspaper salesman. His breakthrough came with his first novel "Pendulum" where he decided that he will become a writer for good.
